Step 2: MAP CROSS DNA PANEL
- Minimum of 500 F2’s (1000 meioses) will be tested.
- Theoretical limit of resolution = 0.1 cM.
- P1’s will be initially screened for marker polymorphisms.
- DNA will be isolated from postmetamorphic juveniles.
- ~500 micrograms of DNA can be isolated from each
individual.
- 2-3 F1 sibling pairs will be used to produce F2 generation.
